handwriting daily devotions, passing
them around and holding daily prayer
calls. It started with just two people,
but now I have almost the whole dorm
participating. God is Good! We keep
you and the Living Rosary Family in
our prayers. We ask you to keep us in
yours. < Dylan - HARDWICK >
I grew up with very little or no Catholic
Faith. Therefore, I wandered in the
world not knowing God. I displeased
Him so much that my actions led to
this place. Thanks for the love and
mercy of God Who has forgiven me my
offenses. I am reborn and now happy
because I have God in my heart. I want
to be a part of the Catholic Family!

I pray things are well with you. Things
in the world I live in are crazy. One
inmate was found dead in his cell,
another got his head split open and
another had all his fingers broken.
Four inmates set their cell on fire while
in it. The security cameras don’t work.
The building is so old that many things
don’t work. All in all, this is the life I
live. I have been reading the book you
sent me, Eucharistic Miracles, and I am
learning much about the sacredness
of the Host. It made me horrified to
realize what the Deacons are doing
here at the prison. A volunteer brings
a consecrated Host in a pyx; then he
comes to our cell and takes the Host
and places it between the pages of a
Protestant Daily Bread book, sets that
on the floor and slides it in. Then, without
informing us that we cannot receive
Holy Communion unless our souls have
been cleansed of all mortal sin, we are
permitted to take the Host. What kind
of priest or deacon would do such a
thing? Please, my mother, I really
need to know what
you would want me
to do.

I am longing to be home because
I have two new nieces and a nephew.
I keep on praying every morning and
before I go to bed, to be with my family
soon. I have been going to church
every Saturday but, last week, I went
to the hospital as they found me on
the floor and thought I had a seizure.
They packed all my stuff and threw out
pictures of the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of
Guadalupe and Jesus that I had on my
wall. I am not sure if I can get more. I
am doing just great now and keep you in
my prayers. < James - Novasota, TX >
I want to write and give you my new
address. I was moved to this prison
because my security is lowered to
medium security. I met a brother here
and we have fellowship together. He
has this Rosary that is so beautiful. It
has a Pardon Crucifix. O, please, may I
have one? I need you to keep me in your
prayers, I recently went to see a doctor
in the free world and he thinks I have
cancer. I must go back in three weeks.
I am scared and don’t know how to
deal with something like this, but I can
tell you that it has brought me closer
to God and, for this, I am so thankful.
I have some good Christian brothers
here who pray with me daily and it
is amazing because I just got here in
October last year. The love and support
they have shown me - I know it is God.
I know I am not alone. I will let you
know more after my test is done. I pray
for you every day and night. God bless
you! Until next time, take care.

I write to you every year asking for
the beautiful Calendar and any other
prayer cards and prayer books. I pray
my Decade of the Living Rosary
every day and I will till the end of my
life! Can you send me another Mary
prayer card? I have nothing to give to
help but my prayers.
