Dear Apostles of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
1
W
ith great enthusiasm and warm affection, I greet you and give thanks for your
united zeal in using the armament of the Immaculate Conception over the
enemies of Holy Mother the Church and of souls. Your love, sacrifice and zeal, in
these days of darkness and terror, are truly a beacon of light!
M
ay the Holy Ghost be the very breath of your soul, its invincible Fortitude,
essential Purity, supreme Consolation, and the most tender delight of your life!
May He impart to you the holiness of which He is the Fount! May He give you
valiant courage in the face of persecution and fill you with Sanctifying Grace to
lift you above the things of this earth!
The power of the Living Rosary is based on two concrete principles of life:
Charity and Unity. These essential Pillars of Fire are without equal. God the Holy
Ghost is the source and secret of the Bond of Peace within the Church. The
sufferings we have lived through, during the past two years, have taken their toll.
A deep and lasting fear has been instilled in our hearts and souls: first the virus
and, now, the war between Ukraine and Russia. We find ourselves living under a
godless dictatorship, prisoners in our own homes. All these things come to us as
no surprise.
O
ur Lady of Fatima appeared in
Portugal over 100 years ago and told
us clearly what lay ahead. “Men
must cease offending God, Who is
already too much offended; pray
the Rosary, do penance, offer
your sufferings in Reparation for
the sins of mankind.” Jacinta of
Fatima cried out to warn us about
immodest fashions which would
send souls to hell. Francisco’s life was penance and the humble adoration of Jesus
in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Today, our churches are empty, our clergy have apostatized, and families are
torn asunder by divorce and unfaithfulness. God has permitted this suffering to
befall us. Might it be for us to atone for the sins of those who feel no contrition?
It is not a life of punishment nor is it to be wasted. We, who are consecrated to
the Blessed Virgin Mary, know that She will use our suffering for souls who are
most in need. It is a powerful thing to be united with the sick, aged and disabled,
those imprisoned through substance abuse; young and old who are praying
the Holy Rosary using their sufferings for the Glory of God and the sanctification
of souls. By pooling our sufferings, our sacrifices merge into one vast sea
which is poured out daily by Our Lady into a golden chalice and lifted in
love and reparation to Almighty God.
Our Daily Decade, offered fervently and in union with all the members throughout
the whole world, will make a nest for the Holy Ghost in our hearts. They will burn
like lamps, of which God Himself is the Divine Oil that will never be extinguished.
We must ever burn with a longing for Heaven and be consumed by pure love to
sacrifice ourselves for poor sinners!
