Dear Mrs. Patti Melvin,
On February 6, the ULRA new members were
officially enrolled at Sambarai Parish in Moshi
Diocese. We had a ULRA Seminar and a 3-day
retreat. They also had confession. The Holy
Mass was held at 6 a.m. by Fr. Evarist Makorio,
Parish Priest. We had a short procession to the
church. After the Gospel and sermon, the ULRA
new members stood before the congregation
and the Priest asked them some questions to see their firm decision to pray the
Rosary and their assigned Decade daily; then, they said the Consecration Prayer
to Our Blessed Mother Mary. Thereafter, Fr. Evarist gave them the Rosaries and
vested them with the Brown Scapulars.
After the Holy Mass, they shared photos. At 8.30 a.m., they went home and
returned at 3 p.m. for lunch with their Parish Priest. After lunch, they did their
traditional dances. The event concluded at 5 p.m..
Thank you for the Rosaries,
Miraculous Medals. Scapulars,
prayer cards, printed materials
and booklets in Swahili, and
also for all your support.
God bless you and the ULRA benefactors!
