Dear Members, Benefactors and Apostles of the Living Rosary,
We are profoundly grateful for your prayers, donations and heartfelt concern
for us, our people and our country. The churches are open and completely packed
with parishioners. On Sunday, March 27, seven Sacred Liturgies were offered and
we made the Stations of the Cross. Portugal sent a beautiful statue of Our Lady of
Fatima to Lviv and, on March 25, united with the entire world, Bishops, priests and
faithful made or renewed their Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Thank you for sharing the wonderful
miracle of Blessed Pauline who
was able to stop the siege on the
hill of Lyon during the French
Revolution by distributing bits of
paper on which was written: The
Virgin Mary was conceived without
Original Sin - years before the dogma
was actually pronounced.
One woman sent Miraculous Medals to her family in Mykolaiv, the city near the
Black Sea, where the battles recently took place. Her brother taped the Miraculous
Medals to the windows of the house. A missile hit the ground not far from the
house, but not one window was broken and no damage to the house. God is
showing His favor to us. What I really need are Rosaries. All the stores, banks,
power plants and factories are working properly and people are conducting life
as normal. We remember you and all of the members throughout the world in
our sufferings and prayers.
Every Christian must be very devoted to the Passion of Christ. We recommend to all
that meditation on Our Savior’s sufferings be done every day. One of the easiest
ways to do this, is to make the Stations of the Cross. The Saints tell us that a
Christian who meditates with love on the sufferings of Christ gains more spiritual
benefits than another who practices rigorous penances or says long prayers.
Meditation on the Passion is a powerful means to avoid sin, subdue indifference
and attain to perfection. The Way of the Cross produces four special fruits of
grace in the soul: Love of Christ, Contrition for Sin, Conformity to the Will
of God and Perseverance in Virtue.
By contemplating Our Lord in His bitter sufferings, we gain strength to practice
penance and mortification. We learn obedience and resignation. Jesus is innocent;
He is holy above all others. Yet, He accepts His condemnation with calm submission;
He goes to His death without a murmur. Do you wish to advance in the love of God?
Then, consider the Victim on Calvary. Surely, you cannot but love your Savior
Who shed His last drop of blood for you! If after examining your conscience, you are
cold and indifferent at the sight of your failings, make the Stations of the Cross.
Look at Christ as He is dragged to an ignominious death; remember, you are His
executioner, and soon your indifference will be supplanted by true repentance.
No matter how grievous the burden of man’s sins, he may take comfort in the
hope of pardon if he offers Christ’s Passion and Death to God the Father.
