Alpena Community College offers a forty acre, eighteen-hole, disc golf
course that is free and open to the public. Lumberjack Meadows is
located on Woodward Avenue, approximately one-half mile northeast
of the railroad tracks and soccer fields. Discs are available for purchase
at Direct Skate Shop.

Riverside Skate Park
Skateboarders and rollerbladers can try their skills at this free park
dedicated to boarding and blading. Located on Ninth Ave. east of the
bridge, Riverside Skate Park features 15,000 square feet of surface with
14 ramps and elements, including a half-pipe and a Mini Skate Park designed
for the beginning skater with ramps 3-4 feet high. Safety equipment
is recommended and skating enthusiasts use it at their own risk
Alpena Bike Park
This park is for BMX bikes only. The Alpena Bike Park is located at
Mich-E-Ke-Wis Park off of State Street. It consists of quarter-pipes,
jump box, grind box, center obstacle with stairs and handrail, bank
ramps, launch ramp, bench, barrier and grind rails. Safety equipment is
recommended, and bikers use at their own risk. The park is free and is
open from dawn until dusk.
SNOWMOBILING
The Alpena Snowdrifters Club is under contract with the MDNR to
sign, brush and groom 93 miles of snowmobile trail in the Alpena area.
There are presently three staging areas for snowmobilers to park and
ride from. In addition to the Devils Lake-a series of trails in a state
forest, there are three other trails in the system. For trail conditions,
