42 sites for tent and small trailer use spaced out generously along
Lake Huron. Facilities include a day use area with tables and grill,
sandy beaches, and a barrier-free boardwalk out to Lake Huron.
Rustic campground includes vault toilets and potable water from
well hand pump. Supervised by MDNR.
Sunken Lake Campgrounds & County Park

26 miles west of Alpena off M-65 North on Leer Road. 55 campsites,
electricity, restrooms, shower, dumping station, picnic area, hiking,
playground and swimming, fishing. Boat launch, pavilion rental.
