Clean in 2019
II took The Last 90 Day Challenge with Rachel Hollis of the
Hollis Co. She is a great entrepreneur and motivational speaker
and this was their annual tradition of how to end the year. The
idea behind it was this: What if we ended the year with same
intention that we start each year with. There were basic 5 rules. 1.
Get up and hour earlier to do something for yourself before you
start the day. 2. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water.
For example, if you weigh 140 lbs, you drink 70 ounces per day
of water. 3. Choose one food or beverage that you know isn’t
every day. 5. End each day by writing down 10 simple things
that you were grateful for that happened during that day. The
thought process behind that one was that you live through your
day looking for and noticing the things that you here thankful
for. I loved that one the most.
They believe that if you end your last 90 days of the year
doing all of these things-things that many people kick off each
year doing with those pesky New Year’s Resolutions, that the
New Year isn’t as painful. It gives you structure and discipline
through the stress and temptation of the holidays. I did it, for the
a gShop eco-friendly Valentine’s Day ideasack major nutrients.
Red cabbage, kale, and garlic are three that are full of antioxi-
My favorite seasonal vegetable, though is the sweet potato, that
beautiful, perfect superfood that is so versatile. This is my current
favorite chili, because although we are clean eating, it is still
chili weather and we don’t get that very often in Florida. I hope
you enjoy it as much as we all have. Happy New Year!
