Further, meditation and mindfulness are often overlooked ways
to practice self-care. Mindfulness is essentially focusing on the present
moment and experiencing your environment through your senses. This
can be captured in the old expression, “stop and smell the roses.” This
is essential as our busy lives often keep us moving from one activity to
the next. Whereever you are in your journey of self-care, remember
that you are building a life-style and not racking up debt. Self-care
is available to us all and not just those that can afford expensive spa
treatments.
