Bayside Lawn, 777 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota
The band Rebel Heart returns to Friday Fest at
the Van Wezel with some of today's most popular
country songs, mixed with a healthy dose of hits
from pop, rock, dance and the blues! Enjoy food
trucks, beverage vendors, great live music and
summer sunsets over Sarasota Bay. While blankets
and lawn chairs are welcome, no outside food and
drink or coolers are allowed.

Englewood Bike Night
345 Dearborn Street, Englewood
The Englewood Moose Riders will be hosting a
bike night on West Dearborn Street, and a bike
show in the park. Sign-up from 4 – 7 p.m. with
awards around 8 p.m. This will be a big 10 class
show with first and second place trophies, along
with a “best in show.” In Pioneer Park, there will be
a concert with live bands like Maiden Cane, Copperhead,
Twinkle & Rock Soul Radio, and vendors,
raffles, 50/50, etc. Local restaurants and pubs will
also have live entertainment. All proceeds from the
event support Moose Rider Charities. Come early
and visit the many Dearborn Street restaurants and
shops.

Downtown Historic Venice
More than 55 merchants and restaurants will
be celebrating the non-season. Enjoy sales,
specials and prizes. Summer Santa will be there
enjoying the holiday and the trolley will be back

Celebrate the 4th of July with the Firecracker 5k! Run
on the campus of the North Port High Bobcats.
Awards for first, second and third place in age groups
of 5 year increments. 6 a.m. - Check-in for runners, 7:30
a.m. - 5K run begins, 8:30 a.m. - Awards begin. American
flags to all finishers, as well as most patriotic costume
contest. Special awards for top three male or female
local heroes (Military/Fire/Police). Day of registration

Sarasota Lionfish Derby

All are invited to participate in the 6th annual Sarasota
Lionfish Derby. These events are an important way
to harvest large numbers of this invasive species that
has spread along the eastern Atlantic coast. Divers will
harvest lionfish, provide public education and
opportunities to taste the delicious lionfish for free. For
