RANDALL BELL
Randall Bell, PhD, MAI, is the
author of Real Estate
Damages, 3rd Edition, which
is published by the Appraisal
Institute. He specializes in
damage economics and
valuation, including
environmental, geotechnical,
construction defects, natural
disasters, and eminent domain
expert in multiple courts.
Dr. Bell founded the Landmark
Research Group, LLC and
led the real estate damages
practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bell consulted on the World
Trade Center; the Flight 93 crash site; Hurricane Katrina; the BP oil
spill; the Bikini Atoll nuclear test sites; the Sargent Yokoi cave in
Guam; the San Bruno pipeline explosion; the Anniston, Alabama
spill; the Heaven’s Gate mansion; the Canadian Government UXO
site; the O. J. Simpson crime scene; and many others.

Thomas Inserra has served
Appraiser, or Loan Workout
President at four banks. He held
leadership roles with the RTC/
FDIC during two USA bank
crises, helped to manage, value,
and restructure $400 billion in
distressed loans and advised
banks throughout Asia in the
crisis. Mr. Inserra completed
the Wharton/Stonier Graduate
School of Banking, a BS degree
from Purdue University, an MBA
from University of Phoenix, and MAI/SRA designations.
CRISTY CONOLLY
Cristy Conolly is the Vice President of
Operations at Pendo Management, a
national Appraisal Management
Company serving many of the
industry’s largest lenders. Prior to her
current position, Cristy was a Chief
Appraiser and Senior Vice President
of Quality Control & Compliance for
nine years at a national AMC. As a
the role from her years of completing
appraisals on behalf of lenders, AMCs,
servicing companies, and attorneys.
This perspective has allowed Cristy to
understand the needs and challenges
of all parties involved in each appraisal
order, and to carefully balance
adherence to compliance guidelines
with world class customer service for
Pendo’s clients and appraisers. Cristy
is an active participant with industry
organizations and served on the
Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board
(FREAB) from 2016-2020, a role for
which she was personally appointed
by the Florida Governor based on her
experience, credentials, and reputation
within the industry. Cristy is also the
immediate Past Chairwoman of the
FREAB.
