Need Help With Unpaid Rent, Mortgage or Utilities?
The city of Clearwater and Pinellas County are offering emergency assistance
programs to help residents hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic if they are
behind on their rent, mortgage, or utility payments.
City of Clearwater Program
The Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Assistance Program, in partnership with
Florida Housing Finance Corporation, is open to Clearwater applicants for
up to $5,000 in unpaid rent, mortgage or utility bills, as funding remains
available. Applicants must also have had a reduction in income due to the
COVID-19 pandemic and live within Clearwater’s incorporated city limits.

Pinellas Cares Financial Relief
Pinellas County individuals and families who have been affected financially
by the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for up to $5,000 in emergency
assistance funds for overdue rent, mortgage and utility payments.
Qualifications include:
• Job or income loss directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic (i.e. your
workplace shut down under state or local orders). You must sign a form
attesting that your job or income was impacted directly by COVID-19.
• Asset limits: You must attest that you have no more than $10,000 in your
cash, checking and savings.
• Residency: You must submit a copy or photo showing both Pinellas
County and U.S. residency (examples: driver’s license, utility bill, birth
certificate, passport).
