Powerboats and pontoons, sail boats,
kayaks, canoes and SUPs...you’ll
find them and more on the many
waterways in the Englewood area. If you
don’t own your own boat, you can rent a
kayak for a paddle up Coral Creek or explore
the Gulf on a fishing charter with one of the
area’s experienced boat captains.
Florida ranks number one in the country
for adult anglers. It seems that everyone you
meet in Englewood has a story about the
one that got away or the one that didn’t, and
soon you will too.
If you like to stay on dry land, there are
enough golf courses to keep you swinging
every day! Tennis players will find excellent
courts in several public recreational sites,
and there are also facilities at many clubs
as well.
BOATING
Boat owners who don’t launch from a
private dock will need to find a public boat
ramp and there are many in Charlotte and
Sarasota counties.
