Mankind award is the highest honor that may be given to a
non-Sertoman.
Thomas was eligible for the award after being presented
with the Sertoma Central Florida District Service to Mankind
Award on July 21 and the Seaport Sertoma Club Service to
Man-kind on July 13.

mind-boggling. I have to add, though, that the success of our
program would not be possible without the work of our staff
and the dedication of our volunteers. Many of our volunteers
work every week packing bags for delivery and we’re up to
1,200 a week now. I’d like to thank them. This is their award
too.”
The Thomas Promise Foundation provides bags full of
food complete with six meals and snacks for Pasco County
students over the weekend when they would otherwise go
without. Twenty-seven Pasco schools and more than 1,200
year and when school is not in session, The students are vetted
by the school’s ABC Program which gives the founda-

The foundation began six years ago, when Thomas’
daughter Brooke, then seven years old, would spend her
