Memory Bears
Turn your loved one's shirt into a huggable bear
to honor memories and share with others.
Lyna Nicole Correa lost her brother Steven Villarreal, in 2010 from an ATV accident.
It was the worse time for Lyna, never having encountered grief before.
bear made from one of her brother’s shirts. It brought her great comfort and
continues to be a sweet reminder of the love she carries for her brother. With
help from friends, sewing lessons, a bear pattern and supplies, Lyna followed
her call to ministry to provide comfort for those that have lost a loved one by
creating bears for others. She has touched many lives. So far she has
created 32 memory bears and still counting, with each one being
unique, shedding insight into the life of one lost.
“I was given one of Lyna’s cards when I had just lost my
breath. But her bears have given me and my family comfort
during this time. I am grateful I found Lyna, and appreciate
her dedication and commitment to help others.” Jet Hall
