This is a favorite event of the Central Florida community, and groups of friends attend year after year as a kick-off to the holiday season. A trolley will tie the two areas together as well. This is a walking tour. The homes are located within the historic downtown area for those who enjoy a leisurely walk through the old streets. www.gardenclubofstaugustine.org/tourofhomes 24th Annual Holiday Tour of Historic Inns Saturday and Sunday, December 9 - 13, St. Augustine, 1 pm – 5 pm (Museums 12 pm – 4 pm) “Coastal Christmas” is a self-guided tour featuring 24 inns throughout historic St. Augustine. Each day, 12 inns open their doors to display entertaining decorations and scenes based on Christmas carols, holiday pop tunes and other music of the season. The self-guided tour is easily navigated on foot, but a special tour shuttle also will offer transportation along the route. www.staugustinebandbtour.com 38 • November/December 17 11th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes Sunday, December 10th, Ormond Beach, 11 am - 4 pm Several of Ormond’s most historic and beautiful homes in Halifax Plantation will be featured during the 11th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes presented by the Ormond Beach Historical Society on Sunday, December 10. Tours begin at the Historic Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 North Beach Street where convenient shuttle buses will transport visitors to the homes. www.ormondhistory.org The Stetson Mansion’s Christmas Spectacular Holiday Home Tour November 15th – January 15th, DeLand, Daily Tours at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm & 5 pm (Excluding Sunday Mornings) The Stetson Mansion is a spectacular “Gilded Age” residence built in 1886 with all its original rich architectural details. It is our home and not a museum of any kind. Each year’s decorations are always different. Among the gems in the Lake Helen Christmas tour you will discover community churches, many of which are also from the turn-of-the-century.
