Scenes of Toombs Co. You either love summer or you hate it. Regardless, it begins each spring with blossoming trees harbouring the sweet chorus of mothering birds and proceeds to festivals, the end of school and plantings of tomatos, corn and squash. Soon after the seeking of water follows–beach, pool, river, sprinkler–whatever it takes to subdue the southern heatwave that inevitably strikes. Watermelons come in handy during July when late evenings release the sound of crickets, frogs and porch conversation. By then we will be ready for fall, but for now enjoy every minute and every memory of your summer in Toombs County! photo by | Eric Love/LogicDesign Hometown Living At Its Best 137
