Each distributor, known as “stockists” in the Annie Sloan Company, is hand selected by Annie Sloan herself. Sloan is very selective about who she allows to sell her products. You will not find them in any of the big box stores, as she chooses to limit her stockists to small, unique stores which sell many of the items you will find at Vibra’s. Additionally, Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan is environmentally friendly and contains little volatile organic compounds (VOC). It is also virtually odor free. “Currently this paint is available in thirty different colors, but you can mix colors together for endless color possibilities” stated owner Donna Barefoot. All Annie Sloan products are available at Vibra’s, with Donna working with customers to give them any instruction they may need to use these products. “This really is a wonderful product” added Donna. “ This allows anyone to be able to redesign their own furniture quickly and easily” she said. Vibra’s can walk you thru the process to make your old piece of furniture new again. Vibra’s has been in business in Dunn since 2011. Located just 2 1/2 miles south of Dunn, it’s hard to miss the beautifully decorated building as you travel south on Highway 421. Vibra’s is in the building that was formerly known to many residents as the “Old Store”. You will immediately recognize Vibra’s not only by the sign, but by the beautifully decorated and manicured front lawn and porch, both containing many wonderful items offered for sale here. Vibra’s began just over six years ago with an idea from local resident Donna Barefoot. Prior to her beginnings in the current location, Donna had previously made and sold the same types of wares in other consignment shops in the area. “I quickly realized that there just wasn’t enough space in these locations to do the things I wanted to do” stated Donna. She remembered the “Old Store” building, which was now empty and decided this would make a great location for her business so the move was made. Vibra’s got its name from my mother ‘Vibra’ and my daughter Megan is my business partner!” said Donna. Vibra is credited with the inspiration for the business. Our mother was the oldest of seventeen children!” said Donna. “Growing up I remember she and dad would constantly visit yard sales looking for items she could get at a bargain and make something beautiful for our home” she added. Vibra’s is home to many decorating items, including wreaths, pillows, embroidery, signs and many other home décor items. Donna and her daughter, Megan Barefoot Stewart have added a boutique filled with stylish, fashionable and affordable clothing. You will also find lots of jewelry and other accessories.
