A Word from the Publishers “The best things to do with the best things in life is to give them away.” During the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s easy to get caught up in the demand for buying and giving of expensive gifts to family, friends and co-workers. Gift guides and advertisements urge us to buy luxury, highend gifts that our grandparents and children will absolutely love. But is that really what everyone wants? Research indicates that experiences make us happier than things do. With that in mind, many holiday shoppers are turning from the mall to the museum, looking for experiences their friends and family can enjoy all year, if not forever. We have put together an entertainment gift guide that provides various experiences for you to give to those on your holiday shopping list. Whether their interests are - sports, art galleries or movies – there is an experience for everyone. With the memories made from these experiences, they are sure to last forever. We have also put together a gift guide of the top gifts for 2016 by age group. While shopping lists can range from babies to grandparents, this guide will take the thought out of what to buy for those “hard to buy for” relatives. The holiday season is always an exciting time for events in the area. With beautifully decorated homes in every area of Volusia and Flagler Counties, be sure to check out the Holiday Tour of Homes in your area. The SCENE will also include the holiday cheer spread through music and theater, art and more. Happy Holidays! Gage Publishing, Inc.
