Monmouth Boat Club Photo by J. Rutherford Red Bank Monmouth Boat Club was founded over 130 years ago on the Navesink River in the heart of Red Bank. Its historic clubhouse has three tiers of porches for socializing or enjoying a spectacular view of the river and the sunset. The house is surrounded by a boatyard and has three hoists for launching, three 200-foot floating docks, and more than 50 moorings for larger boats. The Club is an informal and friendly organization, run and maintained entirely by its members. Monmouth Boat Club was originally established as a rowing club in 1879, but the rowboat gave way to the popularity of motor-boating in the early twentieth century. One-design sailboat racing has been the major focus of the Club since the 1920s, and in 2000, Monmouth Boat Club came full circle when a new rowing fleet was formed. Go to monmouthboatclub.org for a current list of active fleets and groups. MONMOUTH BOAT CLUB Enjoy the Navesink through Boating!
