The renowned New Jersey Seafood Festival, scheduled for May 12–14 in 2017, draws more than 150,000 hungry seafood lovers to Belmar’s Silver Lake Park for food, wine and beer plus entertainment, crafters and fun for the kids. Celebrating its 31st year in 2017, it’s a whale of a weekend. Belmar celebrates the Feast of San Gennaro with an Italian-themed street fair in September and a rockin’ Oktoberfest, complete with German foods, games and stein-hoisting competitions. Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport hosts a full card of foodie fun: the Food Truck Festival over Memorial Day weekend, Surf & Turf Seafood Fest in July, Italian Festival and Latin Fiesta in August, BBQ & Craft Beer Fest over Labor Day weekend, and Trucktoberfest in September. Red Bank restaurants will be serving up a bevy of culinary events, including the International Festival in April and the Guinness Oyster Festival in September.
