FERRY SERVICE FROM NEW YORK The most enjoyable way to travel to Monmouth County from New York City is by ferry. A quick 40-minute trip with spectacular views though New York Harbor and past Sandy Hook’s beaches to New Jersey’s Bayshore is a vacation in itself. Service from Wall Street and midtown Manhattan to Atlantic Highlands and Highlands and summer service to the beaches at Sandy Hook are offered by Seastreak.
