WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO
LATINA Style broke new ground in 1994 by launching the first national magazine
dedicated to the needs and concerns of the professional Latina working woman
and the Latina business owner in the United States. For 27 years, LATINA Style
has been the most influential publication reaching the Hispanic professional working
woman. With a national readership of over 600,000, LATINA Style is unique in its
ability to reach both the seasoned professional and the young Latina entering the work-force
for the first time. The editorial content we provide showcases Latina achievement
in all areas of endeavor, including career development, business, science, civic affairs,
education, the arts, and military, to name a few. In addition to the crucial information
provided to its readers, LATINA Style, Inc. has developed some of the most successful
programs addressing the needs of Hispanic women: the LATINA Style 50 Awards and
Diversity Leaders Conference, the LATINA Style Business Series, the National
LATINA Symposium, and the LATINA Style Hero Initiative. All programs are designed
to highlight and profile Latina achievement and build a bridge with the general
market.
BEHIND THE LATINA Style 50
The LATINA Style 50 Report is the most respected annual study of corporate
America’s employment policies and practices as they relate to Latinas in our
country. With nearly 800 companies surveyed every year, the report identifies
companies who are providing the best opportunities for growth and career
advancement. In February 2004, in response to an increasing number of companies
wishing to benchmark themselves against the LATINA Style 50, the magazine launched
its Diversity Leaders Conference. Throughout the years the LATINA Executive of the
Year program was added to our ledger in 2010 and the Employee Resource Group of
the Year was added in 2011. The LATINA Style 50 is now a national program providing
the most updated information and resources to our Latinas in corporate America and
to diversity leaders from across the nation.
