QUEEN ELIZABETH’S 1951 NEW YORKER CONVERTIBLE
1951 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER
“The Queens Car” having been used for the Canadian royal tour of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, this 1951 Chrysler New Yorker
convertible is an all original example from new. The car is equipped with a 331ci Fire Power V8 engine and 3-speed Fluid Drive transmission. After being used for the Canadian
Royal Tour the car was returned to Chrysler where it was sent to Melfort, Saskatchewan to be displayed at a new Chrysler dealership and was purchased by it first owner. In
1961 the car was purchased from the estate of the first owner and remained with the second owner for 29 years. After exchanging hands a few more times the car has resided
in the same collection for the past 12 years where it receives regular exercise and no-expense spared maintenance. The car boasts all available options for 1951 including
new for ‘51 Hydra-Glide power steering. Accompanied by extensive documentation and photos.
