Today, I received your
package with the Rosary,
Scapular and Rosary book.
I prayed the Rosary and
then put it on my neck,
hiding it under my shirt. I
know it is not a necklace
but, for now, this is the
safest place for it. I only wish
to be a good custodian of
my Rosary. I really am
enjoying the book, The
Imitation of Christ. I have
some difficulties understanding
it at times, but I
carry it with me everywhere
I go. I read a little here and there when
I have to wait for the doctor or others.
I am having trouble being patient with
my cell mate. He picks his nose and
wipes it everywhere. He is not very clean.
I don’t wish to complain about him,
but pray not to over react. I am not
perfect and am sure not everyone cares
for my manners. The good news is that
the Lord has seen fit for me to be
paroled. I am going to be with a family
in Hammond. Your brother in Christ,

I am writing to thank you for the
beautiful Rosary. When I got all the
pamphlets, I did not know where to
begin reading. I see that I have a lot to
learn about the Catholic Faith. I feel
very good about becoming a Catholic.
I am ready to dig in and see what God
has for me and what He wants me to
do for Him. Please send me, My Daily
Bread prayer book and anything that
will help me grow in the Catholic
Faith. Thank you and God bless you!

D
ear Patti and “Angels”! Thank you
very much for the book, My Meditation
on The Gospel. There is so much of
spiritual value in it. I simply cannot
express my gratitude for receiving it!
Again, thank you!!! Several blood vessels
in my eye were broken and the blood
accumulated. I had laser
surgery and the pain is
gone. Now, I can read for
two or three hours at time.
Praise God! There are people
who talk and there are
people who do; the Living
Rosary is a Doer 1st Class!
The transgenders, I wrote
to you about earlier, were
put in a Special Housing
Unit K-2 for smoking! They
need lots of prayers. May the
Grace and Peace of Our Lord
Jesus Christ be with you!

I hope this letter finds you well. It has
been a while since I communicated
with you. A lot is going on here. It all
started with COVID-19. We were in
quarantine lockdown. Then, we had
numerous violent incidents. About nine
weeks ago, the staff found some knives
from the street, lots of drugs and a
loaded pistol or so, we were told. A
buddy asked me if I was concerned. I
told him, “Not at all.” He asked why.
I simply told him, “I am under the
protection of our Holy Mother, the
Ever Virgin Mary and her Divine Son,
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
With them watching over me and
keeping me safe, no evil of this
world can hurt me.” After we get off
the lockdown, I will give him a Rosary
and some literature you sent. When
they did a compound-wide search
“shakedown,” the team searched my
room, took all the Rosaries I had. They
told me the policy of the prison is
now changing. I was powerless to stop
them. I cried while I prayed for those
men. I shared this with the other men
and they, too, were upset to hear about
it. I told them to keep up their daily
prayers, petitions, meditations and
Rosaries and that we are not alone,
and God is watching over us from
above. It has been a trying time for us,
but I know that God does not send us
