It is difficult for me some times due to
my ADHD, so I lose track rather easily.
I am trying to amend my life; I am
very broken and in mortal sin. I have
yet to have Confession since being
locked up. My sin weighs very heavily
on my heart and is nearly unbearable
to live with. I am whole-heartedly sorry
and ashamed. I have broken every
Commandment almost countless
times, with the exception of the Fifth
Commandment, THOU SHALT NOT KILL.
That one I have kept, as I fear losing
Heaven and my soul going to Hell! My
fear is true and real. I seek penance of
any sort and absolution. I have done
all I can with my limited resources and
no access to a priest. I am very lost and
separated from Our Father. Is there
anything you can do to help me? I
promise to do my best to fulfill it. A
Catechism book, Rosary and Penance
are of utmost urgency for me. Whatever
you deem reasonable for absolution,
please tell me. I humbly await your
response and thank you for your
consideration and help. < Daniel - IL >
Thank you for all that you sent in
response to my letter. I am extremely
blessed and was like a child at Christmas
receiving gifts! I was amazed to learn
about St. Mark Ji Tianxiang. I never
knew there was a Saint like him. He
has inspired me to never give up or
underestimate the grace of God. If
you have any additional info on his
life, or a medallion of him, I would love
to have it. I have a special intention
now, hoping I will be able to help our
parish priest. Please keep this in your
prayers. Can you reach out to my wife
and children? Send her something
which will strengthen her faith. She
was raised a Catholic and believes
strongly in the Church, and all my
children were baptized but they do
not go to Mass. Maybe, if they start
praying the Rosary and find devotion
to St. Philomena, she will get back
to the Sacraments. By doing so, our
marriage and family will be stronger.
May God bless you and embrace you
with His everlasting Love and Grace!

Saint Mark Ji Tianxiang is a beautiful witness to the Grace
of God constantly at work in the most hidden ways, to
God’s ability to make great saints of the most unlikely
among us, and to the Grace poured out on those who
remain faithful when it seems even the Church Herself is
driving them away.
Prayer to St. Mark, ‘THE TRIER’
Glorious St. Mark, holy martyr of China, you are the Patron Saint
of drug addicts because, for many years, you struggled with the
effects of opium addiction which affected every aspect of your
life. Yet, despite this, you never gave up trying and praying, and in Heaven, God
has rewarded your perseverance. Dear Saint, you know better than anyone the
great tribulations that come with addiction; look with compassion upon all drug
addicts throughout the world and deliver them from their bondage. Strengthen
them in their recovery and help them resist their temptations. Obtain from God
that drug addicts everywhere may receive the support and the compassion they
deserve and may all, through the Grac e of God, be restored to full health. Amen.
