The nurse who wheeled me to surgery, rarely, if ever, transports patients. She is
a scrub tech who has scrubbed in on Dr. Low’s surgeries many times. She told me
that he was one of the BEST! If ever she would have a broken bone, she would
see Dr. Low. With that, I was given IV medication and, the next thing I knew, I
was waking up in recovery; the surgery was over. My time in the recovery ward
was 2 days after which I was accepted in the Rehab section for physical therapy.
I remained here for 7 days of therapy. The normal stay for physical therapy is 10
to 14 days. Maria was the nurse in charge of my therapy and she was a wonderful
Catholic lady. She worked me very hard and, after only 7 days, my discharge was
made. Incredible progress with absolutely no complications or setbacks! This is
the Power of Prayer!!! For the first day at home, I used my walker and, the next day, I was ambulating with
only a cane. The pain has been minimal. Through the wonderful power of united
prayer, my recovery advanced from miracle to miracle. There is work to be done
and Our Lady and St. Philomena helped me return to work in record time.
During my absence from the office, our great staff moved into action caring for
mail, opening boxes, answering requests, filling orders and holding everything
together. They are the best and their efforts allowed me time to recover without
undue concern or anxiety about the Living Rosary mission. They have been aptly
nicknamed: the Ark Angels.
God knows best what is good for us and although this seemed a curious way for
Him to deal with me, I can see very clearly how important is His plan which
touches many lives and helps to carry us all in His Grace and His Wisdom.
The corona virus compounds all that is going on today. We may feel depressed
and discouraged, resentful and impatient. Our holy foundress has led the way.
Ven. Pauline Jaricot is the Mother of Missionaries, the Living Rosary and all those
who are in travail and pain. She spent herself completely in spreading the Catholic
Faith throughout the whole world. We think so little of God, because we are too
filled with self. Let us beg God for the grace to know our own nothingness and
rejoice in our dependence upon Him. May the world know the surpassing value
of Ven. Pauline’s virtue of humility and the love with which she bore her cross!
We, Christians, are called to communicate to each other the Love of God, His
Grace and His Joy. We must generously strive to help others find salvation. From
a purely human stand point, it would have been lovely for Mary to stay in her home
after the Annunciation alone with her divine mystery, to savor it in adoration
and love. She did not. She went at once to help her cousin, Elizabeth: This is
the flame of communicating love! The Heart of Mary is the example of the
active life of a higher sphere, where the perfection of Christian existence is
found: Loving God in All, and Loving All in God!
Finally, after 3 weeks, I was able to attend Holy Mass. My husband wrote a note of
thanks to the priest who celebrated this Mass: “Thank you, Father! By the graces
obtained through your prayers and thousands of others, Patti was able to suffer
along with Christ during Passion week. Through all of the “little” miracles,
she was able to experience the Ultimate Miracle performed by you, as Alter
Christi, on the Altar today. There is none other, liken to our God!”
With all my heart, I thank you for your loving concern and your wonderful
prayers for my speedy and complete healing. They have been heard! May God
bless and reward you eternally!
