It is the red flood of social
enmity and of blood. The
heresy of Laicism and the
paganizing of society
attacks especially children
and youths by means of
godless education and then
destroys the foundation of
the Christian home. The
result of this is the collapse
of the basic cell of society,
the family. What a crime
against nature and God, the
end of which is social suicide!
The heresy of worldliness
chiefly among the well-to-do
and ruling class is this:
drink, dance, enjoy yourself, drain the
cup of illicit license, make life a carnival
and unending round of pleasure,
without the least concern about death,
judgement and eternity!
The worldling lives or rather vegetates
in a noisome swamp; all the while
devious plots are being woven by
secret Societies to hold the Church
in check, and counteract Her work
through secularized legislation. The
paganized laws of divorce, the godless
schools and State legislation are all
designed to drive God out.
It was Pope Leo XIII who wrote the
Rosary Encyclicals and ordered that
three HAIL MARYS and the prayer to
Saint Michael the Archangel which he
composed, to be offered at the end of
every Mass under the gravest censures
because he was aware of this vicious
campaign to bring down the Church.
T
he Rosary Crusade against the
supporters of Satan must be one of piety
and mercy, in order to obtain through
Mary, the Refuge of Sinners, the conversion
of these many wandering sheep.
Mary is the Mediatrix of all Graces,
Mother of Mercy, the Messenger of
God and Dispenser of God’s Pardon.
The dispositions for the
success of our Rosary
Crusade are three: Great
purity of heart and soul;
penance and self-sacrifice
in our daily life; and a
passionate and most fervent
love of the Person of Our
Lord, especially in the
Most Blessed Eucharist.
How could anyone dare to
present to the Immaculate
Virgin the offering of the
fifty white or red or golden
flowers of the Rosary, with
a heart unchaste and a soul
steeped in sin? Our Lady at
Lourdes, La Salette and Fatima said
we must have a spirit of personal
sacrifice and reparation for the salvation
and conversion of sinners. Nothing
can be obtained without penance.
In Her capacity as Co-Redemptrix,
Mary reminds us forcibly of the serious
and unavoidable obligation we have
to crucify our flesh and mortify our
instincts in order to obtain pardon
and grace. The most elementary logic
of the supernatural life requires that,
if one honors and loves the Blessed
Mother, one will love with all his
heart, Jesus Christ, Who is Her Son and,
at the same time, Her God and our
God. Some of Mary’s less enlightened
clients actually seem to forget that the
Mother and Son are inseparable and
that love of the most Blessed Virgin
Mary necessarily implies love for Her
Son.
I
t is Mary who must always be the
royal road that leads to Jesus Christ;
thus the height and the final end of
devotion to Mary is not Mary herself,
but Jesus Christ. Anyone who wishes
to be a child of Mary must let Her lead
him to Christ, to His Altar and His
Tabernacle. It is here that He waits
to give Himself to us through the
Heart of Mary!
