The Arc Afterschool &
Summer Camp Program
The Program is designed to provide quality
year-around after school and summer
care for children and teens in St. Lucie
County who have an Individualized Education
Plan (IEP) or 504, or an Individualized
Support Plan (ISP) documenting a
disability. The emphasis is on maintaining
and/or improving social, functional and
vocational skills for academic achievement.
The program also allows parents the opportunity
to maintain work dependability,
as well as, a structured family routine.
The Arc is the only agency in St. Lucie
County that operates an After-school
and Summer Camp Program tailored to
children and teens with intellectual and/or
developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Staff-persons at The Arc have the requisite
experience and expertise to work with
children and teens with multiple disabilities.
The Arc’s specially trained staff can assist
students with toileting, undergarment
changes, two-person assistance, transitioning
in/out of their wheelchair, and can even
work with behavioral interventions, deescalation,
or work as a 1:1 personal aide
for those designated in need.
Services our Program Offers:
• Assistance with educational goals and
school IEP goals;
• Maintenance or improvement of personal,
social, functional, and/or vocational
• Reduce family stress and increase stability
by giving families a place for their kids
when school is not in session;
• Activities designed to improve age-appropriate
interpersonal and communication
• Positive Behavioral Support;
• Assistance with functional daily living skills.

Summer, Winter, & Spring Breaks:
7am‐6pm M‐F, $40 per week, Transportation $20 per week
1pm‐6pm, $20 per week, Transportation $10 per week
Early Release: 11am‐6pm
• Must have an IEP, 504, or ISP
• Must be enrolled in a St. Lucie District School
