tom, hand-crafted journals, notebooks and book markers.
She offers personal shopping, gift wrap and mobile kid craft
parties, where she comes to your venue with enough supplies
to guide each little guest through the process of customizing
their own journal, while hosting the party. She also has a libro.
fm account for WoW Book and Toy Store, which is like
the app Audibles, but the audio books come from small book
merchants. Of course, she still has an array of her favorite
multi-cultural books, toys and “afro-centric” kid’s puzzles for
sale on her site, as well.
Another thing that Tonisha has dreamt up is The Tampa
Bay Black Author’s Expo which is coming up on April 20,
2019 from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM at the Moore Eventful Event
Hall in Clearwater, FL. “The idea for the Expo was born from
the desire to see the Tampa Bay area’s Black literary community
be recognized on a greater scale. Looking at other parts
of the country I noticed that they all had their own Black book
festivals, and several of them have become huge, highly anticipated
events nationwide,” Tonisha said. “I haven’t necessarily
seen that kind of movement happen here in this area yet. So
The event hall that Tonisha chose for the expo is owned
and operated by black female entrepreneur, Tiffany Moore.
really supportive and excited about the event. “I am really
looking forward to having all of that energy in one room,”
said Tonisha. We are, too! The Tampa Bay Black Author’s
Expo is free and open to the public. You can learn more about
it and stay updated on their Facebook page at www.facebook.
