outside world know what a Catholic
goes through in prison? Most of them
are sex offenders here. We are not
represented and only through the
guidance and protection of Mary
Immaculate do we persevere!

I am 45 years old and I grew up in the
Catholic Faith. I was an Altar boy,
went to a Catholic school for a couple
of years and was really into my religion.
My mom had me at the age of 14, so
my grandparents raised me. When I was
a teenager, I stopped attending Mass,
and I have been in and out of jail my
whole life. I am writing to ask you to
please sign me up for a Daily Decade,
and send me your newsletters, Calendar,
booklets and also a Rosary, Scapular,
Miraculous Medal, St. Benedict Medals,
Agnus Dei, Pardon Crucifix, holy cards
and a Bible, and anything that will
help me grow closer to God! May God
reward you! < Edward – FL >
I am a member of the Living Rosary,
even though I have never been able to
contribute to you. Six months ago, I
was moved to a new prison and, during
the move, everything associated with my
Catholic Faith and the ULRA materials
were lost, as well as your address. Please
send me this information again and a
Rosary. This is very important to me.

I was recently given a DEDICATED
DECADES - Spring 2018 edition. I was
quite taken in by the articles and artwork.
The teaching inside is solid oldschool
gold. What a wonderful blessing
you are to others! I would like to
receive this magazine and a prayer card
of St. Philomena. I am very devoted to
praying my daily Rosary and to Our
Blessed Mother. I have been away from
society for almost 13 years now. I was
not a good father or husband; in fact,
I did great harm to my family, both
physically and spiritually. I was a very
poor steward over the lives and gifts
God gave me. I know there is much
anger and hurt in their lives. To be a
part of my children’s lives again would
be the biggest miracle of my life.
Please pray for me to St. Philomena.
I do appreciate you listening to a
prisoner. < Alex, Livingston > I am blessed to finally be moved from
a camp wrought with danger to one
that is friendly to religious persuasion.
What a shame for the strong and ruthless
to put down the weak and helpless!
We must love all and trust entirely the
Will of God! < Bhram - FL >
My name is Rodney Ornellas and I am
the Chaplain at Avenal State Prison
for the past 13 years. Avenal Prison is
divided into six individual yards with
a population of over 4,000 men. One
of the inmates handed me your Roman
Catholic Calendar. I am wondering if you
have more in stock to donate to this
facility. I can use other items as well:
Prayer cards of St. Michael and Anima
Christi, Rosaries and anything about
St. Joseph. If you have larger images, I
can mount them in our chapels! Many
of the men pray the Rosary every day
and many are consecrated to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary. We have a
large Spanish population. Spanish
materials are greatly appreciated. May
Our Lord continue to bless you and
your benefactors! < Chaplain
