RESERVATIONS
During the summer, properties rent on a weekly basis. Turnover days vary
by property and are subject to change. Limited last minute daily rentals
may be available during the summer season, and typically require a three
to four night minimum. Prime rates and minimum stays may apply during
holidays. All rates are for accommodations only and are subject to change.
In addition to the base rental rate, each property is subject to applicable
fees and taxes (19%). Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require
full payment and confirmation within 24 hours of booking. While we
strive to always provide accurate information, please note that misquotes
on rental rates, unit descriptions or policies will not be honored.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE & CANCELLATION POLICY
Initial payment is 50% of the base rental rate and due by the reservation
confirmation date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
The credit card provided during booking is charged on these dates unless
a payment by check is received prior to each due date. As allowed by SC
law, payments are not refundable and reservations can not be changed
as properties are individually owned and reservations are time sensitive.
Returned checks incur a $75 NSF fee.
VACATION RENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION
Rather than requiring a large, refundable security deposit, Vacation Rental
Damage Protection safeguards Guest from unintentional and accidental
damages to the rental unit interior which may occur. If purchased, this $69
plan covers up to $3000.00 to repair or replace damage to real or personal
property during occupancy of the property as a result of inadvertent acts or
omissions. Cost of accidental damages exceeding the benefit limit will be
charged to the Guest’s credit card. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full
details of the Vacation Rental Damage Protection coverage are contained
in the Certificate of Insurance or Insurance Policy. The Vacation Rental
Damage Protection can be purchased up to, and including at, check-in. By
submitting payment for this plan, Guest authorizes and requests Red
Sky Insurance to pay Dunes Properties, Agent, directly any amount
payable under the terms and conditions. Guest may elect to substitute
a refundable security deposit of $3000.00 by 30 days prior to arrival
in place of the $69 Vacation Rental Damage Protection. Refundable
security deposits are payable by check and will be processed within 60
days of Guest’s departure.
ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Guest’s reservation begins at 4PM on the arrival date and ends at
10AM on the departure date. Early arrivals and late departures are
not available due to service scheduling. Keys and an arrival packet
are available at Agent’s office during this period. The reservation
holder must be present at arrival with valid, picture ID. A late
fee of ½ the published daily rate is charged for departures after
10AM on the scheduled departure date.
DAMAGES
Any damage and/or additional cleaning intentionally caused
by neglect of Guest or Guest’s occupants will be immediately
charged to Guest’s credit card. Smoking in a property will result
in a $1000.00 charge to Guest’s credit card. Agent is not
responsible for any personal articles lost, stolen, or left on the
premises. Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Dunes
Properties of Charleston, Inc and property Owner from any
and all incidents and/or injuries which may occur while using
the premises or surrounding area.
DISCLOSURES
• Dunes Properties is not responsible for issues, including, but
not limited to: amenities, housekeeping, pest control, appliance
malfunctions, air conditioning, and décor. All appliances
are in good working condition at the beginning of each season.
Occasionally, an appliance may fail to operate. Notify the staff
immediately if there is a concern, and it will be addressed as
quickly as possible. After-hours repairs will be limited to emergency
situations only. No refunds or compensation will be made.
• Dunes Properties and property owners on our program are
not responsible for any damages, accidents, or injuries that may
occur, nor are we responsible for any articles lost, stolen, or left
behind.
• Every precaution has been taken to assure accuracy of this brochure.
However, we reserve the right to make changes and/or corrections.
