ArtWalk, when the downtown districts
come alive after hours for a special
evening of art and entertainment.
Shops, galleries and boutiques stay
open late and working artists open
their studios. Park the car and take the
free St. Pete Saturday ArtWalk Trolley.
BEACH DRIVE
WATERFRONT DISTRICT
Starting at the downtown St. Pete
waterfront, this district extends
from Fifth Avenue North to Sixth
Avenue South and includes upscale
Beach Drive and nearby surrounding
streets. St. Pete’s answer to Los Angeles’
Rodeo Drive, Beach Drive is a
beautiful tree-lined street with parks
and marinas, shops, museums and
restaurants that offer sidewalk seating
under big umbrellas. The area is
pedestrian friendly, dog friendly and
bicycle friendly. The “Burg is home to
the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg;
The Dalí Museum; the James
Museum of Western & Wildlife Art;
The St. Petersburg Museum of History;
and the Mahaffey Theater, the
city’s performing arts center.

CENTRAL ARTS DISTRICT
The Central Arts District begins at
Central Avenue and 3rd Street North
and encompasses nearby side streets
for several city blocks. This district is
the start of the high-energy, hip part
of downtown known for its locally
owned cafes, clubs, galleries and
boutiques. Must-see venues including
James Museum of Western & Wildlife
Art, The Morean Arts Center and
Glass Hot Shop, Chihuly Collection,
The Florida Holocaust Museum,
Florida CraftArt, the State Theater,
Jannus Live and Studio@620.
THE EDGE DISTRICT
The Edge District starts at Central
Avenue and 9th Street North.
The district is booming with new
residential condos and apartments;
craft breweries, cafes, pubs, art
galleries and local shops, yoga
studios and tness centers. Tropicana
Field, home to the Tampa Bay Rays
baseball team, is located nearby.
Street festivals are common here.
Look for pop-up indie markets selling
local art and crafts and two annual
Edge District Festivals – Folkfest
St. Pete and Et Cultura, a unique
celebration of music, lm and art.
