Irving’s
Irving’s Coffee and Creamery is located at 405 W.
Dearborn St. It’s the newest coffee establishment in
the area, and it’s owned by Dennis Parks, who is the
son of Kris Irving, manager at The Palm on Park in
Boca Grande.
The macchiato is wonderful, and the fresh breakfast
sandwiches go quickly in the morning, so be sure to
go early if you want to grab one.
The espresso chip milkshake is a great choice on a
hot afternoon.
You can also order fresh biscuits and gravy and hot
and cold sandwiches.
Dennis grew up in Englewood and moved to
Nantucket for 25 years. He came back three years
ago, and said he wanted to open a business where
locals could come to relax and socialize every day.
“There weren’t many options for the people who
live here year-round to enjoy,” Dennis said.
It’s a new venture for him, but he’s confident the
business will be a success.
“My fiancé and I asked ourselves what was needed
in the area, and we’re trying to fill that void,” Dennis
said.
The shop also offers ice cream, and you can choose
from a variety of basic toppings, as well as a few
nontraditional toppings like flaming hot Cheetos.
Dennis plans to add a variety of options in the future
- stay tuned. There is plenty of open space within the
shop, which gives guests adequate room to move
around and not feel crowded.
The establishment is open every day from 6:30 a.m.
to 9 p.m. and is located at 405 W. Dearborn St. in
Englewood.
