It is great to hear from you. Thank you for your support
and prayers. I have been having a rough time lately
dealing with this heat. The temperature feels like 1000.
We have to pay for even medical expenses and do not
get an allowance. I try to paint landscapes, birds and
other subjects, and ask for a donation for the paintings.
It is difficult to paint when you sit in a 9 x 7, 63 sq. foot
cage, with sweat dripping down your arms. It is a trick
just to keep the sweat off the painting. Twice a week, we
are allowed outside to exercise for a 3-hour period. The
bars here are rusted and the toilets don’t have back-up
valves which can cause a real sewage mess. Lights are
turned on and an inspection may take place at any time. I can’t go to Mass. We
did have a Deacon come every few weeks. No priest comes in regularly. They use to,
so please pray for that. Christ was a prisoner who gave His Life for our salvation.
Please think about Hebrews 13-3: “Be mindful of prisoners as if sharing their
imprisonment and of the ill-treated as of yourselves, for you also are in the
body.” Christ’s message to us is love, mercy and compassion. I am going to bring
this to a close, my friend, please take care. I am sending a poem that I wrote:
9
ell I have a story that I’d like to share
o her round and don’t despair;
here is a God, a God above,
nd I want to share with you His Love.
ow, you may ask just how I know,
nd that’s what I am going to show.
or, this was all God’s inspiration:
enesis through Revelation,
atthew, Mark, Luke and John
s about His One and Only Son,
ho came upon this old earth
y a virgin Mother who gave Him birth.
nd at the tender age of thirty-three
e ave His Life for both you and me.
e ng upon an old wooden cross
nd people surely felt the loss.
ut in three days He would rise,
nd be seen by many people’s eyes.
ow, if we take a look at Acts,
e will see so many, so many facts
bout a man, a man named Saul,
ho later became the Apostle Paul.
st paid the ultimate price for men,
he ultimate price for mankind’s sin.
In love, mercy and the brotherhood of Christ, < Ronald, Death Row Poet, FL >
