Rev. Tarsicius Ngalalekumtwa is our
Bishop. As we approach the great feast
of St. Philomena, we wish you a happy
feast day. We have taken the resolution
to make her known as much as possible
and to share the wonders that we are
witnessing every day. We now have 20
candidates in our new Congregation.
This is all her work. One day, we had
no food at all, not even a coin to buy
anything. We told St. Philomena, “We
are your children; we have nothing to
eat, help us!” Unbelievable, the next
morning, a man came with 100 kilos of
maize. That is exactly what we needed.
We received this gift with tears of joy,
happiness, wonder and thanksgiving.
The man too cried as he felt his dream
was fulfilled. We asked him, “Tell us,
how it is you came from very far and
did not know us.” He had a dream;
someone was telling him to take his
maize and give it to the Sisters. In the
morning, he tried to recall the dream,
as he did not know any Sisters. But the
voice continued, “Go, go, go!” He asked
the people if they knew of any Sisters
and they told him about us. After
meeting and giving us the maize, he
returned home full of joy and gratitude.

ordial greetings from
Jerusalem! This morning,
with great pleasure, I got
your parcel in perfect
shape. I thank you from
the depths of my heart
for your thoughtfulness.
I feel privileged in counting myself one
of your friends. The treasure packet had
so many gifts crammed inside. Every
single item you included, I was badly
in need of and there was even a 2019
Calendar! I shall share these items
with my children and grandchildren,
and my best friends. Tomorrow, I will
attend Mass and pray for your health
and happiness. God bless you at all
times! < Emmanuel – JERUSALEM >
I am in contact with Fr. Odair Boscolo
of Douradina city which has 5,800
inhabitants. Douradina is a very poor
town and, nearby, there are tribes of
native Indians. This is Father’s mission.
He has great devotion to St. Philomena
and has Mass daily and, for special
occasions, he gathers up to 3,000 people.
Being on the border of Paraguay, many
faithful come to Mass each day. At the
end of Mass, Father distributes blessed
oil and cords, free of charge. Recently,
he recorded a CD with prayers to
St. Philomena in Portuguese. He dreams
of a sanctuary for her as pictured. He
has a special Mass on the 10th of each
month in her honor and visits the homes
with her statue and relic, praying the
Rosary with the family and anointing
the sick. Every Tuesday, they have the
Novena of St. Philomena, which begins
with Benediction. We just received your
box of Sacramentals. Thank you so much!
