On April 24th-26th, the United States Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce (USHCC) held its Legislative Summit Gala
in Washington D.C. This year’s honorees included Rep.
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL 27), the first Latina in Congress,
with the “2018 Lifetime Achievement Award” and U.S.
Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), the country’s first
Latina U.S. Senator. This summit creates a platform for
ideas that help the economy grow, businesses flourish,
and the country move forward.
Entrepreneurs from the Greater Washington Area pitched their
businesses during the Shark Tank casting call at the 2018
USHCC Legislative Summit.

Gala & Leadership Awards on Wednesday,
April 11. The Annual CHLI Gala & Leadership
Awards are held each spring, honoring
extraordinary leaders. This year’s Gala
honored Congresswoman Ileana Ros-
Lehtinen, a Latina whose public service
and international leadership has made a
meaningful impact on the U.S. community.
