HISTORIC DEARBORN STREET
Dearborn Street is one of the most
popular destinations and historic sites in
the Englewood community. Though the
original downtown was on Yale Street in
the early 1900s, eventually the main area
moved to this neighborhood now filled with
gift shops, dining spots, art galleries and
antiques. Check out the farmers market
every Thursday (October through April).
You can find local and organic produce,
seafood, fresh bread, cheeses, herbs, honey
and much more.
ENGLEWOOD AND
EAST ENGLEWOOD
There are numerous shopping and dining
places along SR 776 in Englewood. Tiffany
Plaza was one of the first shopping centers
to be developed and is home to gift shops,
businesses, medical services and restaurants.
Merchants Crossing at SR 776 and Placida
Road is a hub of stores, small businesses
and eateries. You will also find great deals at
the many thrift and consignment shops in
this area. And don’t forget to visit Manasota
Key for beach souvenirs and gifts.
PLACIDA ROAD AND CAPE HAZE
Traveling down SR 775 will take you
through Grove City into the Rotonda/Cape
Haze area. Discover the gift and specialty
stores tucked into the many smaller
business and retail malls. Get a glimpse
of Old Florida and visit the charming gift
shops and galleries at Fishery Circle.
ART GALLERIES
Many of our art galleries offer lovely gifts
and items along with the artwork of our
talented local artists and artisans. Check
