INVOLVED www.naplesplayers.org | (239) 263-7990 Volunteer A SENSE OF PURPOSE One of the nine principles of Blue Zones, according to Dan Buettner, researcher and author of related books, is to know your sense of purpose. To add seven years of extra life expectancy, know your “values, passions, gifts and talents” and find a way to express them. Volunteering at The Naples Players provides plenty of opportunities. AUDITION: All our performers are volunteers. No shows are pre-cast. Every show has a mix of novice and veteran performers. BUILD & PAINT: Every show needs a set. All skill levels are accepted in the scene shop. COSTUMES: From past centuries to contemporary; from shopped, altered or sewn from scratch; and from underwear to outerwear, there is something for every sewing skill. USHERS: Be that helpful person who greets and seats. Orientations are held throughout the year. BACKSTAGE: Every show has just as many people behind the scenes as on stage. The Naples Players has many more volunteer opportunities to offer. The point is to find your passion and to express your gifts and talents whether backstage, on stage or somewhere between.
