Skills and technical instruction will cover throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running. All level of abilities are identified, and all instruction is based on the age, ability and playing experience of each boy and girl. A high instructor-to-child ratio ensures that each boy and girl receives personal attention and direction. All participants receive instruction from the manager, coaches and Firebirds, as well as a t-shirt, and an opportunity to “run with the ‘Birds.” ‘Campers of the Week’ also will be awarded at the conclusion of each clinic. Clinics are held weekly beginning June 19 and continuing through July 24 at Nauset Middle School (adjacent to Eldredge Park). They run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Water breaks and a nutrition break will take place daily, so attendees should bring snacks and water, in addition to their baseball gear. Cost is $120/week or $30/ day. There are also specialty clinics in Fielding (Tues 1-2p.m.), Pitching (Wed 1-2 p.m.), and Hitting (Thurs 1-2 p.m.). You can sign up at orleansfirebirds.com or register at the beginning of each clinic week beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Eldredge Park. Semi-soft baseballs are used for beginners. Required batting helmets will be supplied. ��
