Over this time, Schiffner has posted 518 wins, making him the all-time winningest manager in CCBL history. In 1977, he was an assistant coach with the Harwich Mariners. Schiffner served as head baseball coach at Plainfield High School (CT) for 33 years, retiring in 2011. John, his wife, Martha, and dog, Bailey, reside in East Harwich, MA.
