A Record-Breaking Hartnett The 39th annual Fr. Richard G. Hartnett, S.J. Memorial Golf Classic brought together more than 130 Jesuit alumni, parents, and supporters on a fl awless Monday afternoon, April 10, for a great cause – Jesuit’s fi nancial aid program. Carrollwood Country Club was in superb condition, and Mothers’ Club Hartnett Committee chair Cindy Strady, P ’19 and numerous volunteers made everything operate smoothly, establishing the foundation for a fabulous event. The Hartnett Golf Classic’s longtime exclusive Platinum Sponsor, the Columbia Restaurant, closed the day with a sensational dinner of Paella, 1905 Salad, and Flan. When it was over, a Hartnett-record total of $46,185 had been raised, which will directly benefi t Jesuit students with demonstrated fi nancial need. More than 25% of all Jesuit students receive fi nancial assistance, in large part due to events such as the Hartnett Golf Classic (Tampa’s oldest charity golf fundraiser), which generates funds through sponsorships, player registration, and raffl e sales.
