Len Plazewski ’83 visited Tallahassee and Gainesville in February as part of an outreach tour for Christ The King Catholic Church in Tampa, and in Gainesville he connected with Ryan Ricco ’15. Don Carter ’87 is a Compliance Offi cer with Tesaro, a small biotech fi rm in Boston. He has a daughter, Evan (4), and enjoys golfi ng and snowboarding. Hon. Ronald Ficarrotta ’76 was re-elected as Chief Judge of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Donald Jennewein ’77 joined Colliers International as Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets. Tom Goode ’77 and his wife, Suzanne, recently celebrated the birth of their grandson. Ernest “Cookie” Garcia ’50 and several members of the 1950 State Champion basketball team gathered at Palma Ceia Country Club in March, including seated L-R Bob Crowder ’50, Rene Bolivar ’53, and Rene Montoto, and standing L-R Bill Crowder ’50, Garcia, and Jim LaRussa ’50. John Oliva ’60 was honored prior to the Jesuit vs. Tampa Catholic baseball game on April 25 as Jesuit’s Alumnus of the Year for 2016-17, and he threw out the ceremonial fi rst pitch. 1970s Rick Fueyo ’79 spoke to several Jesuit High School classes on March 30 as part of Law Day for the Tampa Bay Catholic Lawyers Guild. Fueyo presented to the students along with Tom Hyde, P ’93. Luis Fernandez Jr. ’77 is a Registered Respiratory Therapist who recently celebrated 30 years of employment at Brandon Hospital. He also works for Baycare at St. Joseph’s Hospital - North. Fernandez and his wife, Tammy, have two children, Nicholas (31) and Amber (24). John Hermes ’87 is a local General Contractor in Tampa, specializing in commercial construction. He and his wife, Tamara, have two sons who are students at Jesuit.
