The Sea Turtle Conservancy, an international 501(c) 3 organization, has formed a team to plan an expedition to Cuba from July 1 to July 8, 2017. Attendees will have an opportunity to join marine scientists and sea turtles enthusiasts as they take part in green sea turtle conservation efforts while experiencing the beautiful art, music, literature and landscape of Cuba. “We wanted to be able to work with sea turtle advocates in Cuba and make sure they have the resources to protect turtles. The ban on travel in the past prevented our efforts of sharing our mission with them,” said Sea Turtle Conservancy Executive Director David Godfrey. 24 GASPARILLA ISLAND May/June 2017
