Publisher Dusty Hopkins is always investigating new ideas in technology. Here are a couple of his latest favorites. TrackerPad Do you always lose your cell phone, or your car keys, or your spouse? Those days may soon be over, as a new Kickstarter campaign could make losing things obsolete. As advertised on the LG G6 web site, the TrackerPad is a small circular transponder the size of a coin. While Bluetooth tracking devices have a very limited range, TrackerPad has its own global positioning system so it can help you track a item either near or far away. It also has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, biometric locks and a built-in power bank. This item uses a reusable adhesive back which is designed to be stuck and “unstuck” from many surfaces, and if/when this item is ever available for purchase the price won’t be “sticky” at all – right around $50. If all goes well shipping will begin right around December. A company named LOVE has designed an oh-soportable turntable which reads vinyl records with a traditional stylus and connects to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Two record bases are included with purchase. LOVE's smartphone app allows you to play, pause, skip tracks, repeat tracks, select rpm speeds, adjust the volume & display the album cover. It connects to speakers, headphones, receivers, multi-room systems and more wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and directly via 3.5mm cord or RCA Bluetooth adapter. Created by world-renowned product designer Yves Behar.
