Acouple of times a year Executive Chef Seth Shipley of The Gasparilla Inn has a few good friends over for a little recipe swapping and a good old-fashioned cook off between culinary rockstars. The Annual Food & Wine weekend at The Inn is one of those occasions. This is a magical culinary pow-wow that 100 lucky people who have booked a stay at The Inn get to sample. A friend of mine at The Inn said, “During this exciting weekend guests learn the cooking techniques of leading chefs, taste wines from the world’s most famous regions, and experience delectable cuisine.” That is almost an understatement, because attending Chef John Folse’s cooking demonstration is a treat for the soul as well as the taste buds.
