St. Patrick’s Day Friday, March 17 Free Concert On The Green! - West of Galway Sunday, March 19, 5 p.m. Boca Grande Community Center Lawn Known as Florida’s premier Irish band, West of Galway beat 50 other bands across an international competition. As a result, the band travelled to Castlewellan, Ireland, for a once-in-a-lifetime performance at the Celtic Fusion Music Arts Festival in 2010. With a mixture of vocals, guitar, fiddle, bodhran, whistles, concertina and even bones, the upbeat tempos of these traditional Irish tunes will make you want to join in, clap your hands and dance a jig! Bring your golf carts, or chairs and blankets. Beverages and food are permitted. Come early to get a good spot as a large crowd is expected on the green. Annual Bike Path Parade & Woman’s Club Fair Saturday, March 25 5th Street & The Boca Grande Community Center This annual event is one of the highlights of living in Boca Grande. It’s a Spring Break tradition for families to decorate their golf carts and parade along the path. The start of the parade is located at 5th Street, lineup is at 9:50 a.m. and the parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Registration ends Wednesday, March 22. Gas powered vehicles are not allowed on the Bike Path. The parade route ends at the Boca Grande Community Center where the Woman’s Club Fair will be held starting at 11 a.m.
