Of the many species native to Florida, the two that can be used nearly statewide are the Common Blue Violet (V. sororia) and the Common White Violet (V. primulifolia). These have similarly shaped flowers and slightly different heart-shaped leaves. Common Blue Violet often produces white flowers too and the two species are sometimes confused in the trade. CRAIG N.
