Author of two mystery novels with a third under development, he said reviews “have a very different process and style. Novel writing is a long, quiet, solitary activity. Restaurant reviews require communal, noisy and rapid-paced ‘field research’ and not only must you remember enough to paint a verbal picture of the food’s appearance and taste, you have to take out your camera and actually use it before you dig in!” A mid-western transplant to Tampa in 1990, Dave works as a computer systems analyst, is married to his high-school sweetheart, has two daughters and 4.5 grandchildren, is the primary cook at home, and tries to find time to scuba dive, travel and write. Dave’s “beach book” mysteries (Murder in Madtown and Madtown Madmoney) are available on Amazon and Kindle. Meet Kristie Gutierrez Kristie Gutierrez is a UF Gator alum who spends her days working in finance and her nights at home in South Tampa with her handsome husband, Greg, and their two young children. Kristie relocated to Tampa from Brooklyn in 2014 and has since made it her mission to seek out tasty and unique restaurants in this great city. Her favorite cuisine is New American, though no one is quite sure what that actually means. Most weekends you will find Kristie and her family boating in the Gulf, entertaining friends or working on the never-ending list of house projects.
