Saturday, Sept. 3 13th Annual Venice Triathlon Starts at Sharky’s on the Pier, 1600 S. Harbor Drive, Venice The Venice YMCA hosts a triathlon each fall on a closed course that moves participants from the Sharky's on the Beach through downtown Venice. Athletes will swim .25 mile, bike 12.1 miles and run 3.1 miles. The event is open to individuals or relay teams. Registration from Monday, Aug. 1 through Wednesday, Aug. 31 is $90 for individuals and $180 for teams. In September, it’s $100 for individuals and $200 for teams. For every Saturday in the month of September (3, 10, 17 and 24), Florida residents of all ages can receive admission into the aquarium for $6.
