Located in the center of the Lower Peninsula, it offers a variety of activities for families and sports enthusiasts year round. Being the largest inland lake in Michigan; Houghton Lake has long been renowned for its excellent water sports. The lake is over 22,000 acres and has an average depth of 8 feet, with the deepest point being approximately 22 feet.
